NBC Today Show visited Gerardo Hernández

NBC Today Show visited Gerardo Hernández

In late October, NBC's Michael Isikoff visited Gerardo Hernández in Victorville U.S. federal prison and conducted a lengthy interview with him. Gerardo is serving an unjust double-life sentence. Although the prison did not allow Isikoff to bring video or still camera, nor audio recorder, he also did a telephone interview with Gerardo to augment their discussion.

This morning on NBC's TODAY SHOW, Isikoff introduced Gerardo and the Cuban Five to a wide U.S. audience. He also reports in this segment on the case of Alan Gross, a U.S. contractor who was convicted and sentenced to 15 years in Cuba for violating Cuba's territorial integrity.

Isikoff is currently in Cuba, where he interviewed Adriana Pérez, Gerardo's wife, and Ricardo Alarcón, president of Cuba's National Assembly. They also appear in the 2:37 minute TODAY segment.

The link to the video above also has a longer article published by Michael Isikoff.
